Experienced financial services professional Herbert Roy Zucker serves as a senior consultant for Merrill Lynch in New York City, a position he has held for many years. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. Upon graduating, he went on to form a real estate management and brokerage firm that he ran for 12 years and thereafter sold. In addition to his financial services work, Herbert Zucker has been involved in several entrepreneurial enterprises, including SafeDecisions, LLC, which he founded in 2003.

Hotel guests in days gone by were advised to store their valuables in the hotel safe, a process that was, at best, an annoyance. It also was inconvenient for hotels to open the safe every time a guest needed to access it. Thus, hotels began installing small safes inside individual guest rooms, usually inside a closet.

SafeDecisions recognized that private homes and hotel rooms were not the only markets for safes designed for small valuables, jewelry, and cash. He has been marketing the Assa Abloy Elsafe, the world’s most technologically advanced safe, to hospitals, schools, builders, architects, and others. The safes have a cutting-edge locking system and are large enough to accommodate a laptop computer with a 17-inch screen. The unique SafeDecisions software includes password protection with a one of a kind security override for forgotten passwords and an audit trail that lists every time the safe is accessed.

In addition to institutional or business use, these safes are ideal for areas in a home where a small safe would be appropriate, such as a guest room. More information is available at SafeDecisions.com.
