A Boston University Questrom School of Business graduate, Herbert Roy Zucker has sat on various boards, including the Jewish Community Center and the American College and University Housing Officers. Herbert Roy Zucker is also a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA).

IMCA, both a certification organization and a membership association, was founded in 1985 in Colorado and has members in over 35 countries worldwide. The association provides investment consulting and wealth management credentials and educational offerings for its members.

In 2017, IMCA re-branded to Investments & Wealth Institute as part of a strategic plan that focuses on improving the organization’s positioning and relevance. The re-brand also aims to meet growing needs, which also necessitated the introduction of several initiatives to enhance its offerings to its community. One such initiative is launching a new Online Learning Center to help boost members’ learning experience and help participants move more efficiently and effectively through their course work.
